Poor posture not only causes back pain, it can cause other health problems.

Commuting to work, working in an office, eating in a restaurant, relaxing in front of the TV ... What all these activities have something in common? We need to sit. Modern humans spend so much time sitting, apparently we are eliminating the "upright" characteristic of “Homo Sapiens”, and we are moving to the next level of evolution: “Homo Sedens” (Sitting Primate). But do people really want to become adapted to a chair? Remain seated for long periods of time, especially with poor posture, can put us at risk of developing back pain. It can also increase muscle stiffness and aggravate conditions such as arthritis. Fortunately, we can do some things to reduce the negative impacts

Here are some tips to help you straighten up:

Get active
Sitting in the same position for long time can build up stress and cause discomfort. It is important to keep moving by taking regular breaks to stretch and walk. Making small changes in your daily routine, like going on foot on public transport, instead of sitting, can make a big difference.

Practice your posture.
Sit with good support, without enough support and changing position often increase back strain.

Manage pain
When you have back pain, do not ignore it. Go to the doctor to getit checked and, if possible, relieves pain using medication prescription, such as acetaminophen.
Use the right tools. Try to get an ergonomic chair designed to support your back.
